Congratulations to Niamh Connolly, whose strike against Linfield Ladies is today named Fallone’s Pizzeria Goal of the Month for July.

She put the finishing touch to a flowing team move that started with Kirsty McGuinness executing a perfect challenge on the edge of the Reds’ penalty area before playing a pass to Erin Montgomery, whose smart flick set Marissa Callaghan off on a powerful run that ended with an inch perfect cross for Connolly to stab home (Goal A below).

The Reds, who sit four points behind Glentoran Women at the top of the Danske Bank Women’s Premiership, play the first of their two games in hand when they host Crusaders Strikers at Solitude tomorrow (4pm) – and it won’t be long until we dish out the next Fallone’s Pizzeria prize when August’s Goal of the Month poll goes live.
