Cliftonville Ladies suffered a 2-0 defeat to Linfield Ladies in this evening’s Danske Bank Women’s Premiership clash at Midgley Park.

Despite enjoying the better of the play in the first-half of the behind-closed-doors encounter, the Reds were unable to make the vital breakthrough and fell behind when Cora Morgan blasted the Blues in front with a long-range strike early in the second-half.

Ashley Hutton doubled the hosts’ lead soon after to seal all three points for Linfied on a night when, though ultimately disappointed with the outcome, Cliftonville emerged with encouraging pointers for upcoming challenges.
