Cori on regardless

Cliftonville Corinthians were formally crowned Women’s Academy League Champions by the NI Football League this evening.

The Ladies’ reserve team clinched the title with a 1-0 victory over Crusaders Strikers in a crucial North Belfast Derby duel last weekend and, having opened up an eight-point advantage at the top of the table, ensured they couldn’t be caught in the race for the much-coveted silverware.

Presented with the trophy at half-time of the senior team’s Sports Direct Women’s Premiership victory over Glentoran Women – which preceded their own Solitude title party – the Wee Reds lapped up the acclaim of the crowd and, as they reflect on their wonderful achievement, they do so with the full congratulations of everyone at the Club extended to players and coaches alike.
