Sixcessful mission

Cliftonville Ladies 6-0 Lisburn Ladies

Cliftonville Ladies maintained their winning run with a confident display against Lisburn Ladies at Solitude this evening.

Though it took until the 42nd minute for the visitors’ stubborn resistance to be broken, once Naomi McLaughlin broke the deadlock, the Reds never looked back en route to claiming the points which saw them climb level with second-placed Linfield Women in the Sports Direct Women’s Premiership.

McLaughlin struck again early in the second-half before Kirsty McGuinness and Aoibhe O’Neill swiftly extended Cliftonville’s advantage to four.

Katie Markey got her name on the scoresheet on 66 minutes ahead of Carla Devine wrapping things up in the closing stages.
