Larne Women 0-8 Cliftonville Ladies
Cliftonville Ladies roared to an emphatic victory over Larne Women to book their place in a fifth consecutive Boyle Sport Women’s Cup Final.
The Reds, winners of the trophy for the past three seasons, needed just a point to ensure top spot in Group B but made sure of all three thanks to a dominant display at Larne Academy of Sport.
Lucy Kelly joined McGuinness sisters Caitlin and Kirsty in bagging braces, while Teegan Lynch and Eimear Ward were also on target as Brendan Lynch’s side rubberstamped their place in the decider with Glentoran.
Ahead through Kelly after just eight minutes, the visitors doubled their advantage when Caitlin McGuinness struck her first of the night less than 60 seconds later.
Lynch made it 3-0 midway through the opening half ahead of Kirsty McGuinness extending Cliftonville’s lead right on the interval.
She found the net again four minutes after the restart and Kelly claimed number six before the Reds netted twice in a minute for the second time in the game; Caitlin McGuinness making it 7-0 in advance of Abbi Crossley teeing Ward up to seal things.
