Cliftonville Football Club offers thanks and best wishes to Louise McDaniel and Danielle Maxwell following their transfers to Burnley Women.

The duo move following a season in which they played key roles in the treble trophy triumph that saw Cliftonville Ladies lift the VBet League Cup and Electric Ireland Irish Cup either side of an invincible Sports Direct Premiership campaign in which John McGrady’s side won 100% of their League games.

McDaniel, who joined the Reds from Heart of Midlothian in the summer of 2021, also claimed the Goal of the Season accolade when her Irish Cup Final strike against Lisburn Rangers came out on top of our Ladies Supporters’ Club vote.

Fellow Northern Ireland international Maxwell, who netted an historic Champions League goal against BIIK Kazygurt in September 2023, was recently named Player of the Year by the NI Professional Footballers’ Association and, as both players embark upon a new start in the English National League North, they depart with the sincere gratitude of everyone at Solitude for their stellar contributions in a Red shirt.
