Cliftonville Football Club are very pleased to announce the signing of Alex Parsons.

The 25-year-old joins from Brisbane Roar in the Australian A-League and becomes Jim Magilton’s third addition of the January transfer window.

Born in Ipswich – though not the same English town where Magilton remains revered – Alex’s senior career began at Western Pride in his native Queensland and, following a brief stint with Central Coast Mariners, he signed up for the Roar in 2020.

An attacker who can operate both on the flank and through the middle, Parsons made the move to fellow A-League outfit Sydney FC in 2022 before returning to Brisbane a year later, and has today agreed terms on a deal that sees him traverse the globe to join Ireland’s Oldest Football Club.
