Celebrating Cait and the good

Congratulations to Caitlin McGuinness, who has been named Sports Direct Women’s Premiership Player of the Year.

Crowned at this evening’s NI Football League Women’s Football Awards at Belfast’s Malone Hotel, the 24-year-old took the honour following a series of towering performances and vital goals in the Reds’ surge to League title glory, with the team’s qualities further underlined by Teegan Lynch’s nomination for the very same accolade she picked up 12 months ago.

Also walking away with an award for a sterling campaign’s work is Brendan Lynch, who was named Manager of the Year.

He will, naturally, he hoping to pick up further silverware when Cliftonville bid to lift the Irish Cup for a third consecutive season next weekend.

The Reds take on Glentoran Women at the Clearer Twist Stadium next Saturday night tickets for the occasion – which cost just £7.50 for Adults and £5 for Concessions – are available via Ticketmaster.
