Congratulations to Caitlin McGuinness, who has been named the Sports Direct Women’s Premiership Player of the Month for October.

Part of the Reds team that completed the season by adding the Premiership and Irish Cup trophies to the League Cup they had lifted earlier in the year, McGuinness was on target in the title-clinching victory over Glentoran Women at Solitude before celebrating a hat-trick when Lisburn Rangers were overcome in the Irish Cup Final.

“To win the treble with the Reds and to complete the League season with a 100% record was unreal,” said the 22-year-old.

“This award is a nice way to cap a fantastic month.”
