Some friendly fire

Cliftonville will host The New Saints and Southport as part of our preparations for next season’s UEFA Conference League.

Familiar foes TNS – whom the Reds have faced eight times in the last 13 years – won the Cymru Premier by some 33 points during an undefeated League campaign and, as part of their own planning for European action, will visit Solitude on Thursday, June 27.

National League North outfit Southport will, meanwhile, take on Cliftonville exactly a month later on Saturday, July 27, with supporters advised that further additions to the Irish Cup winners’ summer schedule are expected to be confirmed very soon.
