Ballymena United Women 0-8 Cliftonville Ladies

Claire Shaw struck twice as Cliftonville Ladies booked their place in the semi-finals of the Electric Ireland Women’s Challenge Cup at Ballymena United Women’s expense this evening.

After Caitlin McGuinness nodded home the opener, a screamer from Hannah Doherty doubled the Reds’ lead ahead of a Marissa Callaghan penalty and scrambled finish from Shaw making it 4-0 at half-time.

Danielle Maxwell was next on the scoresheet and, after Shaw had claimed her second of the night, Vicky Carleton and Kirsty McGuinness got among the goals to rubberstamp the visitors’ progress.
