Ladies’ silver lining

The Danske Bank Women’s Premiership Champions paraded their impressive new silverware at Solitude yesterday as the wider Red Army were afforded an opportunity to hail Cliftonville Ladies’ historic achievement.

Captain Megan Moran led her team-mates on to the pitch at half-time of the Men’s encounter with Newry City, with supporters in the McAlery Stand and Main Stand Lower sounding their appreciation for the team’s recent success which saw them claim the title for the very first time.

The further congratulations of everyone at the Club goes to Manager John McGrady, his backroom staff and, of course, the players who can now look forward to Champions League football next summer.
