Orleigha’s right at home

Orleigha McGuinness made her Northern Ireland Women’s Under-17s debut in familiar surroundings yesterday.

Solitude played host to the friendly international with Belgium, who won 1-0 courtesy of a first-half strike from Sam Van Rompuy.

Orleigha (number 2) – younger sister of senior internationals and fellow Cliftonville team-mates Kirsty and Caitlin McGuinness – started the game, which provided valuable preparation for the team’s upcoming Euro 2023 qualifiers with the Republic of Ireland, Finland and Austria.
