Final understanding

The Understanders will be Cliftonville Ladies’ match sponsor for the Jordan’s Gift Women’s Premiership League Cup Final.

John McGrady’s side take on Sion Swifts Ladies at Blanchflower Stadium, where the first silverware of the season will be on the line next Wednesday night.

Both sides booked their places in the decider via penalty shootouts following goalless semi-final encounters last week; the Reds getting the better of Lisburn Ladies, while Sion saw off Linfield.

Kick-off at the Blanchflower Stadium, the new home of Harland & Wolff Welders, is set for 7.45pm and, as well as extending our thanks to The Understanders – a dedicated band of fans who call the Main Stand Lower home – for their generous backing, everyone at the Club urges the Red Army to turn out in numbers as the girls bid to end the first half of the campaign by completing a Cliftonville League Cup double.
