Good Luke charm

Cliftonville have full faith in their ability to beat any side but are also prepared to do the hard work to achieve results – so says defender Luke Turner.

The 19-year-old has revealed that he’s loving life at Solitude and, ahead of tomorrow’s Danske Bank Premiership clash with Glenavon, insists he’s well aware of the risks associated with taking any challenge lightly.

“There’s not going to be an easy game in the League but we think that we can win every game we go in to and we go in with the mindset that we are going to win every game,” says the on-loan Aberdeen man.

“It will be no different on Saturday and we’ll be ready for a tough battle against Glenavon.”

You can read the full Turner interview in tomorrow’s edition of our Matchday Magazine, which will be on sale at Solitude for £3.

Featuring pre-match views from the Manager’s Office, The Red Eye’s ninth issue of the campaign reviews the Lurgan Blues’ search for momentum and steps 28, 45 and 67 years years back down memory lane – plus plenty more besides.

Our Matchday Magazine attained a top-three position in the NI Football Programme Collectors’ last eight annual awards polls – assuming the runners-up position on six of those occasions – so, if you’re not a regular reader, why not take a look at what you’ve been missing out on?
