Congratulations to Megan Weatherall, whose eye-catching strike against Sion Swifts is today named Fallone’s Pizzeria Goal of the Month for June.

Despite not being renowned for her finishing – indeed the goal was Weatherall’s first Premiership strike in her four seasons at Solitude – the defender showed impressive attacking instincts with a first-time outside-of-the-boot flick to help Cliftonville Ladies to a valuable three points at Melvin Sports Complex (Goal D below) and earn her a tasty reward, presented by team-mate Toni-Leigh Finnegan.

The Reds, who enjoyed wins at Derry City and Lisburn Rangers inside 48 hours during the week just finished, return to action with a North Belfast Derby against Crusaders Strikers at Seaview on Wednesday – and it won’t be long until we dish out the next Fallone’s Pizzeria prize when July’s Goal of the Month poll goes live… but can Megan make it an unlikely double?
