Oval and out
Glentoran 1-0 Cliftonville
Cliftonville exited the Sadler’s Peaky Blinder Irish Cup at the second round stage courtesy of a narrow reverse at the hands of Glentoran at The Oval this evening.
Ruaidhri Donnelly headed the only goal of the game early in the second-half and, though the Reds threatened through Liam Bagnall, Michael McCrudden and Paul O’Neill – who saw a penalty appeal waved by away by referee Andrew Davey – in the closing stages, the hosts held on to book a quarter-final berth.
