Second’s out for Ladies

Cliftonville Ladies suffered defeat in their final fixture of the season when they went down 3-2 to Glentoran Women in this evening’s clash at The Dub.

Needing victory to claim a runners-up position in the Danske Bank Women’s Premiership, the Reds fell behind to Nadene Caldwell’s opener only for Chloe Orr to level things soon later.

Kelly Bailie restored the hosts’ lead ahead of Niamh Connolly rounding off an entertaining first-half by restoring parity for the Reds, who were eventually condemned to defeat when Joley Andrews won it for the Glens, sealing second spot in the process.
