Kirsty McGuinness scored two sublime goals as Cliftonville Ladies began the new Sports Direct Women’s Premiership season with a five-star victory over Lisburn Ladies.

It took just four minutes for the Reds to make the breakthrough at Solitude, with Hannah Doherty opening the scoring before Caitlin McGuinness doubled the advantage shortly later.

Teegan Lynch added a third before half-time ahead of the elder McGuinness sister taking over; converting an expertly-taken free-kick seven minutes into the second period before producing more set-piece magic to complete the night’s scoring just past the hour.
