Happy returns

Cliftonville Ladies are thrilled to announce the returns of Danielle Maxwell and Louise McDaniel.

The duo, who spent last season with Burnley Women, are back at Solitude, where they played key roles in the treble trophy triumph that saw the Reds lift the League Cup and Irish Cup either side of an invincible 2024 Sports Direct Premiership campaign in which Cliftonville won 100% of their League games.

McDaniel, who originally joined the Reds from Heart of Midlothian in the summer of 2021, also claimed the Goal of the Season accolade when her Irish Cup Final strike against Lisburn Rangers came out on top of our Ladies Supporters’ Club vote.

Fellow Northern Ireland international Maxwell, who netted an historic Champions League goal against BIIK Kazygurt in September 2023, was named Player of the Year by the NI Professional Footballers’ Association in 2024 and all at Cliftonville are delighted to welcome both players back to North Belfast.
