Cliftonville Ladies return to All-Island Cup action when they host Athlone Town at Solitude on Sunday.

The Group C clash is the Reds’ second outing in this season’s competition having fallen to a narrow defeat in a madcap battle with Treaty United last month.

Trailing 2-0 with eight minutes left on the clock, Brendan Lynch’s side reduced the arrears through Carla Devine and, though the hosts restored their two-goal advantage almost immediately, Lucy Kelly’s quickfire reply set up a grandstand finale in Ballingarry.

Athlone, meanwhile, enjoyed a much more straightforward 2-0 victory over Cork City and will travel to Belfast seeking the win that would book progress to the quarter-finals.
