Ladies Day

Cliftonville Ladies’ latest history-making season was lauded by the wider fanbase at Solitude on Sunday.

Representatives of the side that retained both the Irish Cup and VBet League Cup, as well as ousting Mitrovica from the Women’s Champions League on an unforgettable night in Kosovo, received a standing ovation at half-time of the Men’s team’s Sports Direct Premiership clash with Linfield.

In addition to the trophies paraded by the team, a number of individual honours were also picked up at the end of the 2025 campaign, with Teegan Lynch being named Player of the Year at last month’s NI Women’s Football Awards, where Orleigha McGuinness was lauded as the PFA’s Young Player of the Year.

The iconic Marissa Callaghan, who recently announced her retirement after 27 years of sterling service, received NIFL’s Special Recognition Award in addition to her strike against Linfield Women back in May being named Goal of the Season.
