Por form
Portadown 2-0 Cliftonville
Cliftonville never recovered from a poor start at Shamrock Park, where goals in either half earned full points for Portadown this afternoon.
Eamon Fyfe put the hosts ahead inside two minutes with a firm blast that deceived goalkeeper Lewis Ridd and, after a first-half in which Eric McWoods and Arran Pettifer came closest to fashioning equalisers, the Reds began the second period with a Rory Hale blast that came back off the crossbar.
Within minutes of that effort, however, the Ports doubled their advantage when Josh Ukek picked his spot from range with a strike that killed the contest, with neither side producing any sort of spark thereafter.
