Alex Parsons opened his goal account as Cliftonville claimed full points against Carrick Rangers in this evening’s Sports Direct Premiership clash at Solitude.

Handed his first start since arriving from Brisbane Roar, the 25-year-old rattled in via the underside of the crossbar on 60 minutes to double an advantage that had been set by Rory Hale’s first-half opener.

Stephen McGuinness struck in injury-time to wrap things up as the Reds made a welcome return to winning ways in the League.
