Gormley’s 200 Club

Yesterday’s Sports Direct Premiership encounter with Larne at Inver Park was the 200th match in which Joe Gormley has scored for Cliftonville.

The striker’s 29th minute opener contributed one of a number of round figures clocked up on the day, as noted by the Club’s Heritage Development Officer, Paul Treanor.

In what was the Reds’ 2900th away fixture, Cliftonville recorded the 640th draw in our history – 320 of which have come at home and 320 on the road.

Furthermore, the stalemate extended the 1-1 scoreline’s record as the Reds’ most frequent ever result, this being the 446th time we have drawn a competitive match one apiece.
