Lisburn Ladies 1-7 Cliftonville

Caitlin McGuinness rattled in a hat-trick as Cliftonville Ladies maintained their perfect start to the Sports Direct Women’s Premiership season with a convincing victory over Lisburn Ladies at Bluebell Stadium this evening.

McGuinness’ older sister Kirsty emerged with a double alongside finishes from Louise McDaniel and Vicky Carleton to help the Reds to a fifth win from five League outings.

After Caitlin’s close-range finish had broken the deadlock on 20 minutes, McDaniel made it 2-0 only for Rachel Kerr to reduce the arrears with a strike for the hosts.

In the second period, Caitlin’s second of the night restored Cliftonville’s two-goal cushion ahead of Kirsty pouncing just before the hour mark.

Carleton made it 5-1 and Caitlin completed her treble eight minutes from time before the scoring was completed when Kirsty claimed her second of the game.
