Video awards

Just over a week since the Cliftonville FC Awards brought the curtain down on the 2023/24 season, supporters are invited to enjoy a brief snapshot of the occasion.

Hosted at Belfast’s Hilton Hotel, the night presented players, fans, management and staff alike with a further opportunity to celebrate the Club’s historic Irish Cup success as well as dishing out accolades to the campaign’s top performers across a host of categories.

Captured in our cursory recap below, fans around the world can now watch the introductory video that kicked the night off as well as some memorable moments as the evening unfolded.

Alongside being voted Player of the Year by Cliftonville supporters, Rory Hale was also named Players’ Player of the Year by his team-mates.

Younger brother Ronan laid claim to the Golden Boot for the second consecutive campaign following his 22 strike haul, while Jonny Addis’ blistering equaliser against Newry City in January was named Goal of the Season.

Following Chris Curran’s induction to the John McCredy McAlery Hall of Fame, Odhrán Casey landed the Young Player of the Year gong and, though unable to attend the event just hours after surgery on the broken leg he sustained in the Irish Cup Final, expressed his gratitude in a specially recorded video message.

The Freddie Jardine Special Merit Award was, meanwhile, presented to Kevin Crossan by Chairman Kieran Harding, with one of many standing ovations on the night reserved for the dedicated Clubman.

Further congratulations to all our winners and thank you to everyone – particularly Michael Hegney and Amanda Irvine – for their assistance in organising the event, with further gratitude extended to compere Ruth Gorman, DJ Johnny Hero and the Hilton Hotel staff for their professionalism and dilgence throughout the night.
