Crusaders Strikers 3-1 Cliftonville Ladies

Cliftonville Ladies fell to their first defeat of the season as Crusaders Strikers ran out victors in this evening’s North Belfast Derby at Seaview.

Mairead McCann put the hosts ahead on 12 minutes and the Reds were left facing an uphill task when Darcie McNeill’s penalty doubled Crusaders’ advantage before Amy McGivern made it 3-0 on the stroke of half-time.

Louise McDaniel pulled one back five minutes into the second-half but, despite a committed effort, Cliftonville were unable to fashion a famous comeback.
