Girls Academy: Blooming marvellous

Cliftonville’s Girls Under-10 side booked their place in the SBYL Cup Final when they got the better of Bloomfield at the weekend.

The Avoniel showdown represented just one game in another busy spell of fixtures throughout the Girls Academy where, alongside a number of players toasting braces, one emerged from the action with no fewer than four goals to her name.

Under-11s/10s
Lexi Devenney was on target in Cliftonville’s clash with Bloomfield at Colin Glen on Sunday.

Under-10s (White)
Lily McCrea netted twice alongside finishes from Caitlin Maguire and Clodagh Dorrian in an SBYL Cup semi-final encounter with Bloomfield at Avoniel.

Under-13s
On Saturday,  Abi Curley (2), Charlotte Barber and  Michaela Cummings scored against Killyleagh at Colaiste Feirste while, the following day, a friendly with Crumlin saw Amy McBride celebrate two goals, with Carly Voyle and Mia Sullivan joining her on the scoresheet.

Under-15s
Brook provided the appropriate setting for Brook McAree to bag four goals, with Fi Corbett (2) and Zara McCartan also on target against Carryduff.

Under-17s
Emma Callaghan struck twice alongside an effort from Hannah McEntee in Sunday’s battle with Ballymena.

Under-18s
The North Belfast Derby duel with Crusaders at Ballysillan included doubles for Tazmin Watson and Tara Reilly, with Chelsea Irvine and Lucy Loughens also among the goals.
