Cliftonville 3-2 Newry City

Joe Gormley smashed in a quickfire double to spark Cliftonville’s comeback from 2-0 down against Newry City in this evening’s League Cup quarter-final tie at Solitude.

Trailing to two eye-catching first-half goals from Brian Healy and Donal Scullion, the Reds roared back when Gormley netted in the 55th and 56th minutes ahead of Ronan Hale sealing the turnaround for the Cup holders.
