Ladies Academy: Treble stars

It was a busy weekend for Cliftonville Ladies Academy, who saluted two hat-trick heroes among their ranks.

Clodagh Dorrian and Emma Callaghan hit trebles for the Reds’ Under-10 and Under-17 (pictured) sides in their respective encounters with Kelvin Youth and Rosario, while Olivia McLaughlin impressed with three assists in the Under-11s’ Girls Division Cup tie with St Mary’s.


Ladies Academy Team of the Week (September 24/25)


Under-9s
Eildih Morgan found the net against Ballymena on a game that saw Rebekah Walker take the coaches’ Player of the Match award.

Under-10s (Red)
Olivia McLaughlin teed up three of Cliftonville’s six goals against St Mary’s, with Alesa Manea, Lillianna McKeown, Niadh Fegan, Abbie Brady, Rachael Kerr and Carla Kelly were on the scoresheet.

Under-10s (White)
Clodagh Dorrian (above) registered a hat-trick against Kelvin Youth an Avoniel, where Holly Saunders also struck.

Under-11/10s
Player of the Match Carragh Teggart scored twice with Kailie McDonnell also on target against Ballynahinch Olympic at the Olympia Leisure Centre.

Under-12s
Ellie Fegan may have scored the goal against Colaiste Feirste but it was Ava Carroll and Maeve McMenamin whose performances earned a place in the Academy’s Team of the Week.

Under-13s
Aliyah Conlon and Riona Brennan bagged doubles alongside efforts from Abigal Curley and Emira Rapalyte in an entertaining affair with Crusaders Strikers on Saturday morning.

Under-14s
Ellie Murphy, Annie McCann and goalkeeper Evelyn Burns were the stand-out players against Ballyclare at Billysillan.

Under-17s
Emma Callaghan celebrated a treble against Rosario at Ulidia, where Shannon Donnelly and Lucy Loughens were also on target.

Under-18s
Dearbhla Smyth was Cliftonville’s scorer in the Girls Divisional Cup battle with Glentoran in a game that saw Molly Gallagher earn a spot in our Team of the Week.
