Cliftonville’s pre-season preparations continued with a testing workout against Bala Town at Maes Tegid this afternoon.

Just like the Reds, the Welsh Premier League side are gearing up for Europa Conference League action next month and this fixture provided both Managers with an opportunity to experiment and afford valuable game-time to players in the countdown to those continental commitments.

A Kieran Smith header earned Bala a one-goal advantage at the interval and they added to their tally with a penalty in the second-half before Jonny Addis pulled one back for Cliftonville in the closing exchanges.
