On the Mark

Cliftonville Football Club are very pleased to announce the signing of Mark Gallagher on loan from Aberdeen.

The 20-year-old midfielder, who began his career at Ross County and spent the first half of the campaign with Forfar Athletic, is a welcome addition to Manager Paddy McLaughlin’s options and, subject to International Transfer Certificate clearance, the Englishman – who joins fellow Dons loanee Luke Turner at Solitude – will be eligible to make his debut in next Saturday’s Samuel Gelston’s Whiskey Irish Cup second round tie with Carrick Rangers.

In addition, the Club extends best wishes to Thomas Maguire, whose loan at Warrenpoint Town has been amended to a full-time move.

Maguire (above) scored six goals in 61 appearances after being signed for the Reds by current Town boss Barry Gray in 2018 and, having seen an initial loan spell at Milltown ended by a broken fibula last season, returned to Warrenpoint in the summer and departs with the sincere thanks of everyone at Cliftonville for his services.
