Double delight

Huge congratulations to Cliftonville Girls Under-11s, who emerged from yesterday’s Harland & Wolff Welders tournament with two trophies.

Staged by the Lough 41 Championship Club at their Blanchflower Stadium home, two Reds teams were involved in the competition, with one side selected in Group 1 alongside the hosts, Lisburn Rangers and Albion Rovers, while the other came up against Crusaders, Carrick Girls and Hillsborough Girls in Group 2.

Cliftonville’s Advanced side lifted the main Cup after a series of fine performances and results, with the Development team likewise triumphant in the Shield.

A big well done goes to all the players involved in both successes, as well as to their dedicated coaches and proud parents.
