Cliftonville Football Club are pleased to announce that Stephen McGuinness has signed a new contract.

The 17-year-old, who made his senior debut in last October’s County Antrim Shield victory over Dundela at Solitude, produced impressive performances against Carrick Rangers and Linfield in the closing weeks of the Danske Bank Premiership season.

A defender who can operate both centrally and on the left, McGuinness has put pen to paper on a deal with Manager Paddy McLaughlin, who looks forward to overseeing the youngster’s continued progress in the upcoming campaign.
