Best food forward

Having added May’s Player of the Month award to her Goal of the Month accolade, Kirsty McGuinness was delighted to pick up her Fallone’s Pizzeria rewards from Cliftonville Ladies captain Megan Moran.

Kirsty’s stunning free-kick against Glentoran Women (below) was recently voted May’s top strike by Reds fans, while she also had an effort shortlisted for June’s honour and got July off to a wonderful start with a double against Linfield Ladies on Monday night.

League leaders Cliftonville are currently a short break from Danske Bank Women’s Premiership action as they turn their attention to Cup commitments, with this evening’s Electric Ireland Women’s Challenge Cup encounter with the Blues followed up by next week’s County Antrim Cup battle with the Glens – and it won’t be long until we dish out the next Fallone’s Pizzeria prize following last night’s closure of the June Goal of the Month poll… but can Kirsty make it two-in-a-row?
