Spain threshold

Three Cliftonville players have been named in the Northern Ireland Under-17 squad for this month’s triple header of friendly fixtures in Spain.

Goalkeeper Matthew Belshaw, winger Cillian Murray – both of whom have already made their senior Reds debuts – and forward Padai O’Kane have all been called up to former Cliftonville coach Kris Lindsay’s panel for clashes with Sweden, Switzerland and Wales at the Oliva Nova sports complex in Valencia.

Everyone at Solitude wishes the Reds trio well for the games which are scheduled for September 23, 25 and 28, respectively.
