A free hit

Kirsty McGuinness’ free-kick against Glentoran Women is today named the Fallone’s Pizzeria Cliftonville Ladies Goal of the Month for May.

The striker’s eye-catching strike was one of three efforts McGuinness had shortlisted for the accolade and, in an online vote among Reds fans, also saw off the challenge of finishes from sister Caitlin and Louise McDaniel in the team’s 4-2 defeat of the Glens.

As well as congratulating Kirsty and thanking everyone who participated in our poll, we look forward to crowning our next golden strike when June’s Goal of the Month nominations are unveiled later this week.
