Following a three-week break, Cliftonville Ladies return to Danske Bank Women’s Premiership action against Glentoran Women on Wednesday evening.

John McGrady’s side have won all six of their League games so far this season, while Champions Glentoran took advantage of the Reds being out of action last week by narrowing the gap at the top of the table to three points courtesy of a derby victory over Linfield Ladies.

Cliftonville’s campaign began with a 4-0 win against Derry City Women back in April, while the following month saw Linfield Ladies (3-2), Crusaders Strikers (1-0), the Glens (4-2) and Sion Swifts Ladies (1-0) overcome before the Blues were defeated 4-1 at Midgley Park last time out.

Having roared back from 2-0 down the last time they tackled Glentoran, the Reds are well aware of the size of the challenge that awaits them at Ashfield Boys School, where kick-off on Wednesday is at 7.45pm.
