Congratulations to Cliftonville midfielder Marissa Callaghan, who captained Northern Ireland Women to victory in the first leg of their Euro 2022 Play-Off with Ukraine this evening.

Kenny Shiels’ side opened the scoring through Rachel Furness early on in Kovalivka and, while Daryna Apanaschenko levelled for the hosts, Simone Magill’s strike ensured that Northern Ireland – whose panel also includes Reds defender Toni-Leigh Finnegan – will take a lead into Tuesday’s decisive return leg at Seaview.
