Youthful venture

The eagerly-anticipated fonaCAB Youth Cup kicked off at Solitude this weekend.

The tournament, which is being hosted by Cliftonville Football Development Centre, began with yesterday’s Advanced Under 8s enjoying an action-packed day of exciting Cup drama, which was replicated when their Development age-group counterparts took to the field today.

Next week, it’s over to the Under 10s with participating sides – who have been divided into four pots within age-specific Development and Advanced status – travelling from near and far to play their part in the event.

Cliftonville Football Club thanks everyone who has signed up and we hope all of our visitors, including those who will be joining us in the coming weeks, enjoy their experience at Solitude and, in saluting our various winners, we also extend congratulations to every player, coach and parent who has contributed to their respective teams’ participation in the fonaCAB Youth Cup.
