Voy to behold

Leah McEvoy netted twice as Cliftonville Ladies maintained their perfect start to the season with a 3-0 win over Derry City at Solitude tonight.

Martin Douglas’ side – who began their campaign with a County Antrim Cup victory against Linfield Ladies before seeing off Comber Rec in last week’s Danske Bank Women’s Premiership opener – had to be patient against a well-organised Candystripes outfit, whose resilience was eventually broken when McEvoy opened the scoring two minutes into the second-half.

Soon later, she doubled her and the Reds’ advantage when she seized on a poor kick-out before a trademark Marissa Callaghan free-kick wrapped up the win and another three well-earned points.
