No Final hurrah for U17s

Cliftonville Girls’ Under 17s suffered narrow defeat to Glentoran in this evening’s South Belfast League Cup Final.

Trailing to a goal in the opening minutes at Seaview, the Reds twice went close to levelling through Leah McEvoy early in the second-half only to fall further behind when the Glens doubled their advantage.

Carla Devine pulled one back to set up a grandstand finish at 2-1 but, try as they might, Cliftonville were simply unable to fashion a route back into the contest.
