Huge congratulations are extended to Cliftonville’s Marissa Callaghan, who made her 50th international appearance when Northern Ireland Women commenced their Turkish Cup campaign with today’s 6-0 victory over Jordan in Antalya.

A hat-trick for Rachel Furness in addition to single strikes from Simone Magill, Kerry Monters and Ashley Hutton got Alfie Wylie’s side off to a perfect start in the competition and ensured that skipper Callaghan celebrated her milestone on a winning note.

Northern Ireland – who also have Reds defender Emma McMaster in their squad – now move on to Group B dates with Champions France B on Friday and Kazakhstan on Sunday.

The two group winners will then progress to meet in the Final, with all other teams contesting a Play-Off match relevant to their finishing positions in their respective groups.
