Sealed with a Chris

Chris Curran is Cliftonville Football Club’s Player of the Year.

Announced at this evening’s end-of-season dinner at Belfast’s Grand Opera House, the 27-year-old took the top honour after a string of inspirational performances and sublime leadership of the team throughout the 2017/18 season.

Though the final decision was ultimately determined by a specially-selected panel, our expert judges were assisted by statistics from the various Player of the Month polls conducted throughout the campaign – so any supporters who cast a vote even once during the course of the season can rest assured that their input was welcomed and embraced before Curran’s name was etched on the trophy.

Congratulations are also due to striker Joe Gormley who, after taking his goals tally to 34 for the season with the winner in today’s Europa League Play-Off Final victory over Glentoran, earned the acclaim of his team-mates when he was named Players’ Player of the Year.
