Cliftonville Football Club are delighted to announce that captain Ryan Catney has signed a new contract.
The 30-year-old, who has made 359 appearances for the Reds since joining from Lisburn Distillery in 2007, has penned a two-year deal that will include a Testimonial in the 2018/19 season.
A double Danske Bank Premiership Champion who has four League Cups and three County Antrim Shield successes to his name since moving to Solitude, Catney – who is currently recovering from a broken leg sustained in January’s North Belfast Derby clash with Crusaders – was appointed skipper by new Cliftonville boss Barry Gray, who is very pleased to have secured the ex-Reading starlet for the next two years.
