Derr’s no stopping Dempster

Amber Dempster was at the double as Cliftonville Ladies defeated Derry City Ladies 5-0 this evening.

Just a day after being paired with the Candystripes in the Semi Finals of the League Cup, the Reds travelled to Brandywell Stadium looking for their second Danske Bank Women’s Premiership win in three games this season and edged in front when Emma McMaster found the net 11 minutes before half-time.

Dempster made it 2-0 early in the second period and an expertly-executed lob from the same player extended Cliftonville’s advantage before she teed up Hannah Grieve to add the fourth.

Substitute Orlaith McVeagh, who had replaced McMaster just minutes earlier, then put the seal of things as the Reds signed off with an impressive high five.
