Cliftonville Olympic surrendered their grip on the George Wilson Cup following a 3-1 defeat to Harland & Wolff Welders Under 20s in tonight’s Semi Final clash at Tillysburn Park.

The Reds, who were bidding to lift the trophy for a third consecutive season, conceded twice early in the second-half before the hosts converted a penalty to leave Declan O’Hara’s side with an uphill task in the closing exchanges.

The Olympic did pull one goal back, but Ruairi Morgan’s strike proved a mere consolation as the Welders booked their place in next week’s Final.
