Cost effective
As part of his his ongoing project to bolster the Club’s archives, Cliftonville’s Heritage Development Officer, Paul Treanor, extends thanks to Barry Pollock for some valued assistance.
Barry recently donated his personal series of Season Tickets from 1968/69 to 1994/95, helping Paul plug some key gaps in his collection, which now stretches all the way back to the 1946/47 campaign.
These latest additions include an interesting social history point as a Boys Ticket for the 1970/71 season cost 10/6 – or 10 shillings and sixpence in old money – while decimalisation meant a Boys Ticket for the following campaign was set at 52-and-a-half New Pence.
Paul remains grateful to everyone who has helped grow the Club’s Official archive in recent years and if you, or someone you know, has any Cliftonville related items – photos, reports, records, minute books, ledgers, scrapbooks or any Season Tickets that pre-date 1946 – he would be delighted to hear from you.
While donations are very acceptable, he is just as happy to receive items on loan to be digitally recorded and returned.
