Linfield Women 1-3 Cliftonville Ladies

Cliftonville Ladies scored a significant comeback victory over Linfield Women to strengthen their pursuit of the Sports Direct Women’s Premiership title this evening.

The Reds – who entered the Midgley Park contest as League leaders – fell behind to an Eve Reilly strike after just two minutes but levelled matters when Teegan Lynch found the net six minutes before the interval.

Toni-Leigh Finnegan then put Cliftonville in front approaching the hour, ahead of Lynch’s second goal of the game providing breathing space entering the final quarter of an hour.
